AI czar will focus on making the US the world’s leader on AI
This week, President-elect Donald Trump announced David Sacks as his AI and Crypto Czar for his incoming Administration. A venture capitalist and entrepreneur, Sacks has helped to lead tech companies including PayPal and Yammer and hosts the business and tech podcast All In. In his announcement of the pick, Trump stated that Sacks will “focus on making America the clear global leader in both [AI and crypto]”.
“President Trump’s AI Czar has a tough job cut out for him,” said ARI Senior VP of Government Affairs Satya Thallam. “As other nations try to write the global rules of the road for AI, our leadership on this emerging tech is at stake. Sacks has a direct line with current innovators in the field and knows what America’s tech startups need to grow. New markets need clarity, trust, and transparency to thrive. We’re hopeful Sacks will be a champion for responsible innovation.”
